Mobility for Discovery Services

 Services include:

Consultations (fee-for-service, school contracts) with families, therapists, and teachers for selecting and modifying adaptive equipment. Rentals of adaptive mobility equipment (minimum bi-monthly rentals following fee-for-service consultation/equipment set-up). Rates vary from $2 for hand-held walkers to $10 per day for a powered device.  Equipment intended for children under 10 yrs. except for Theratrek, Go-Bot, WalkAbout and Bronco We have more than 30 devices for families to rent to "try before buying" or for intervention purposes.

A powered mobility device like the Go-Bot can provide a therapeutic intervention for experiencing spatial relations, vestibular stimulation, and problem solving experiences. We do not sell the equipment, rather we consult on what type of devices and modifications will best meet the needs of the child in coordination with the therapy team and family.

Private/Group Lessons in interactive mobility. A unique opportunity for young, mobility impaired children to explore and interact on their own. These "explorers" are provided with a variety of manual and powered mobility options in an environment that encourages developmentally appropriate exploratory and interactive activities. It is intended for children who cannot sit, stand, walk, or run. Mobility for Discovery

Interactive Workshops.  One or two day workshops with hands-on experience working with children to help find possible techniques to enhance their physical, mental and emotional development.
